Dim spot on speedometer?

Okay, I know I'm being petty about this but could somebody tell me if on their speedo at around 150 mph if it's dim like there's no bulb under that section. Mine is dim. Not so dark you can't see the numbers, but dim. My car is still under warranty and if that's suppose to be lit, I want it lit.

Ya, I noticed the same thing on my 99...

I think that's just the way it is.

I always thought I had a bad bulb there or something, but now that you say you have it too, I'd imagine that is the way it is... though I guess we both could have bad bulbs.

Mine has the same problem, its not really that dark but its a little dim. It kinda bothers me, but I figure its not really a huge deal. I will look more into it when I get guages.

thats how it goes. there is a little dim spot there on my car as well. Another question would be why do the pointers on the gauges light up at different intensitys? Especially the larger pointers (speedo and tach) the little arrows are nice and bright.

When i had my 92 camaro, part of the spedo was dim so i took it in and found out that a bulb was burnt out so it was changed. It could be a bulb

I have the same problem but on my tachometer. From 0-1000 the tick marks are dimmer than the rest of them. I really don't mind becuase I can still see them and I have no plans to get it repaired.

Its more or less GMs light paths behind the gauge panel, their not as good as they could be, and equal light doesnt reach all the points. I have seen many delco radios and Heating/cooling controls that have had this same issue. Just one more GM (General Mistake) to deal with. Besides I would rather have a dim spot in my instrument panels than drive a ford.

Same here. The 150-155 on mine is also a tad dim.
