Did Comp Cams update the 918 Springs??

I thought I remember hearing something about this somewhere. It'd be about time for Comp Cams to do something w/ their single coil Beehive design valve springs..

I can't find anything on the CC websitge, but I thought I saw an article in GMHTP about it..

I believe they are called something else now... Comp 12xx ?? .... not really sure. I only use the Patriot Golds and PRC Duals, which are basically the same thing

They did change the design and all on the 26918. Here's some new info on them:

• Extended .625” max lift, 125 lbs seat pressure at 1.800” installed height for aggressive cam designs
• Incorporates 10+ years of Beehive™ Valve Spring development and refined manufacturing processes
• Designed with GM Gen III/LS engines in mind – for use with hydraulic and solid roller camshafts
• Features manufacturing processes found in exotic race springs, providing a unique silver satin finish

Seat Load: 125 lbs @ 1.800" Open Load: 367 lbs @ 1.100" Coil Bind:1.100"

We try to keep these as well as the PRC dual spring kits in stock at competitive prices! Give us a call or shoot me a PM if I can help!

Is this recent? IIRC the changed things up way back when they had breakage issues and came out with the blue stripe 918's.

^ I thought the update was somewhat recent since I've never heard any news about an update to the 918 design..
