Post Daytime running lights - any way to disable ?

I would like to be able to shut my headlights off when I choose to do so. Is there any way that any of you may know too disable this function?

All you do is pull the top part of the dash up. I held the front fo the defogger vent and gentle pull up till the front of the dash was unhooked. You twist the eye for the light sensor like you are taking out the small lights in the car (like the ones on the door that shine on the window and door switches.) then I unhooked the harness that wires to the sensor. I took a small piece of wire, twisted and soldered the ends to make them nice and stiff. Then pushed both ends of the wire into the harness to form a complete circuit. It will do a loop at the top of the harness. Then I twisted the eye back into place so I wuoldn't lose it or have a hole there, and after wraping the end of the harness in electrical tape I zip tied it to the wires for the led for the alarm, so it wouldn't get lost down in the hole. and pushed the dash back on. There you now control your own lights, and destiny!!!!!!!!!!!

It's easier to remove the radio and short the two wires from the clear sensor together. Takes 5 min total. Makes sure you get the two from the clear one, not the red flashing one.

Mine don't come on when the emergency brake is up just enough to turn on the light.. but not enough to have the emergency brake on (ie. if you dis-engage it and don't push it flush with the console).. I've just taped that break up before to keep in "stealth" mode at night with no lights.

Another way is pull the DTR module out from behind the radio. Open the case and jumper pins a and c. This completely disables the DTR's and auto headlights.

I wouldn't recommend pulling up the E-brake. Even if its just up far enough to have the light on but not far enough to engage it disables your ABS.

Has anyone seen someone who changed the color of their DRLs? I wonder what it would look like if you made them red on a Black WS6. Cool? No?
