Cut-out and O2 sensor location

My buddy has a 2000 WS6 with FLP Longtubes and off road pipes with cutouts. Will having the cutout so close to the O2 sensor interfere with the readings and how the car runs? Someone said yes and I disagree. What does everyone say?

Re: Cut-out and O2 sensor location

how close are they?

i would think as long as they are 10-12" from the sensors you should be fine

he could always put some extensions in the form of turn downs on the cutouts to increase the distance.

but judging from the number of guys running similar setups...i wouldn't worry about it
