Cut out or No Cut Out that is the question!
you going to spend about $150 for the parts for an electric cutout and then atleast $40 to weld in it and then all the pain in the *** crap wiring it. I would reccomend just spending the extra $100 and getting a real exhaust system that sounds good and looks good and that's eay to install. The cutout sounds great at WOT,, it scares the chit out of people, and it sounds good below 2000 but in between it sounds kind of annoying just by being too loud and vibrating the car. with the cut out you won't feel a difference but with a system you will. the flowmaster does add 20hp, it's design creates a negitive back pressure that pulls the gas out.

BTW the spoiler creates aerodynamic pressure adding at least a 100 HP.

Doing the wiring for an electric cutout is a breeze
there should be a gain w/cut-out on aftermarket exaust system
you won't gain any horsepower with the cutout open on an aftermarket exhaust over the stock exhaust. That's the point of the cutout, to bypass the exhaust. I gained 9 rwhp and 8rwtq with the cutout open vs. an aftermarket exhaust. The dyno numbers in my sig are from a K&N filter and the cutout. No other performance mods.
so it's after market exaust from light to light, places where you dont want the car to be to loud etc. and open cut-out for midnite digs
Okay, let me clarify... What I was saying with the cutout on the stock exhaust vs. the aftermarket exhaust is this... If you have a cutout right after your cat, have the cap off of it, and have a stock exhaust after the cutout and dyno the car, you won't see a power difference (with the cap open) vs. the car with an aftermarket exhaust with the cap open. The cutout bypasses the exhaust entirely. You WILL see a power gain with the cutout on the car and the cap open. Exhaust after the cutout makes no difference in horsepower with the cutout open, it does make a difference with the cutout closed.
