Cruising?

Yo

Stock hp is like 310-315 at wheels right? Torque is like 345-350? So cruising at like 70mph in 6th gear with the current tranny leaves the tach at like 1600 right? Or something close?

If you added 30hp and 30lbs of torque, would you still cruise at 70mph with the tach at 1600? How about if you add 100hp and a 100lbs of torque? Does any of that change? Or is all gear ratio and transmission garbage?

Your cruising rpm at 70 mph is a function of transmission gearing and rear end gears. Horsepower never changes that. It is a constant. What horsepower changes is how fast you can accelerate and your maximum speed.
