Creaking from the rear suspension
Creaking from the rear suspension
Seems when it's cold, I've got a creaking sound coming from the rear suspension, right side best I can tell. This is the 3rd winter I've had the car, and never had the problem B4. I've lubed everything, and the suspension is stock back there...thoughts? I was thinking spring maybe, but I had a '92 for 9 yrs, and it never did this. I'd be a shame if I had to get SLP's Bilstein suspension package to fix the problem
. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have the same exact problem. My rear suspension creaks in the cold too. I've only had my '99 for 2 months now, but I noticed it the first time it got cold.
My rear shocks have been replaced under the factory warrenty. I don't know what brand though.

Might just be the rear sway bar bushings ... they have been know to creak now and then.
Energy suspensions has a very thick grease with which you can lube the bushings. It works.
Hope this helps

Funny (maybe not) you mentioned that creaking thing. Just took my car out today and if there is one thing I can't stand it is a car that makes noise when driving. Rear susp as well and maybe some interior plastic.
BTW my is an '02, so no cars are immune to the cold I guess.
