couple wire harness and egr questions...
What plug is this? It's white, nearly round, and is in the back on the driver's side. I don't see anything it could plug into...
Also, I have a wire on the pass side that I am not sure of. It's about 12-14 gauge and has a ring terminal on it. Small ring terminal too, maybe 1/8" hole. I think the wire is orange-ish. It's bundled witht he wires for the front o2 sensor, knock sensor and something else. any ideas?
If I delete the EGR, will the resultant code thrown cause the car to go into 'limp' mode? It may be a short time before I get it reprogrammed (I want to get the gears done first so it's ONE programming fee). The hooker long tubes on there have provisions for the EGR tube to bolt up, but I would just about need a new flexible tube to get it to line up, I can't rebend the stock one well enough to do any good. I'd just assume remove it all together. What feedback does the EGR give the computer to let it know the valve/servo is functioning properly? Is it voltage? resistance? or..? Wondering if I can trick it temporarily.

Do you have a the pic?
What year?
On my LS1, there's oil pressure, knock, cam sensor, and map back there. That's towards the middle.
The small wire sounds like the starter solenoid wire.

John it's a 99 Camaro.
Mike,
I think that's the oil pressure sensor wire. The sensor is right behind the intake with the big vacuum line for the brake booster wrapped around it. Behind the intake in front of the hose.
And I agree with John D that the other wire goes to the starter solenoid.

Re: couple wire harness and egr questions...
On the EGR stuff. To get the tube to fit you'd have to get a new one for the 00 headers. You can't fool the comp. without a tune. And I don't think that it will cause a limp home condition.

Timberwolf,
Do you have my gaskets. I keep trying to get intouch with you but you never answer my messeges. I need them because i am starting to break my engine down and will be reassembling it sometime soon. Please atleast reply and let me know whats going on.
