Corsa exhaust, yes or no?
Okay, I've been looking around heavily at exhaust systems and I want something that is totally pristine and will sound mean as hell when I romp on it, but softer when I cruise. I know a lot of people have Magnaflow and Flowmaster around the track I go to, but the sound just doesn't do it for me (the performance is there though, I'll admit). I know Lingenfelter has recommended Corsa (among other brands) and I am a huge believer in Lingenfelter's work so their recommendations are taken seriously here. But what do you think; should I or shouldn't I?
By the way, does anyone here have a Corsa exhaust system; and if so do you like it? Is there anything else you guys would recommend? I need some advice here before I make any moves.
Thanks,
Les

I also have a Corsa. I love it! It's awesome. I put it thru the ultimate test (in my mind). Drive down the road at normal cruise speed and see if anyone turns around. (yes they do!) And then go WOT and even more will look. Plus the sound is awesome. I personally like to be in second gear for a little more rumble. Just personal preference I guess.
I have heard my car when I was in back of it in another car. WOW!
I also heard it when I let my husband drive it one day to work. Very impressive. Plus the tips look awesome. I also work in a school with 8th graders. Most know nothing about cars but say my car sounds awesome.
Good luck with your decision. I'm sure with what you go with you will like it.

I went with Corsa for my '02 but I just haven't installed it yet. However, I did read as much info. as I could find about it.
I bought it because I wanted something different and I like loud exhaust but I didn't want it to be "raspy" (like Borla was on my '96). From what I did read, it's really nothing special with the stock manifolds and Y but a lot of people said after LTs and an off-road Y (I plan to do both), the exhaust really "woke up" and just sounded mean
. It was still pretty quiet at idle though (with stock H/C), which is fine by me.
The "premium" tips do look sweet, I obviously haven't seen them on my car but I've seen enough pics to have a pretty good idea of how they'll look.
If it sounds as good as I think it will (based on what I've read) then it was 700 bucks well spent.

For those who haven't heard it, you can go to www.tbyrnemotorsports.com and listen to it on both a stock LS1 and his heavily modified 'charged LS1..
