Its no tthat big a curve , IM sure air it dips , but i dought it causes enough turbulance to decrease air flow badly .

That is why I decided to go with the SLP bellow. The other ones posted on here for $12 bucks or whatever that you can buy at home depot have more of ridge to them. That can cause air swirl. The SLP has less curves on the inside tubing. I posted two links below. One for the $12 "hump hose" that you can get from home depot and the $43 SLP smooth bellow. You can see the difference and see that the SLP has less curves on the inside tubing where the air would pass. Also the SLP bellow is made for cars and is designed to withstand the elements. The ones from home depot are probably not made with that in mind. My 2 cents.

I tried useing a fernco as a alternative to paying $40 for an SLP bellow, but i found it didnt line up as easy or fit as well, or as easy to take on and off as the SLP bellow, especially with the way the back of the air box sits at a wierd angle with the MAF. I say SLPs is worth the $40 to me just becais of the way it fits.

When all the pieces are combined, the SLP makes everything one smooth piece. The fernco would have a ridge at the back of the MAF and the front of the TB. That is why there is a "bubble" in the SLP. It also has the angle built in to make everything line up good. If your gunna get one, just spend the extra on the SLP.

If you have an aftermarket lid it will fit. If anything you may have to trim it a bit to make the lid fit properly. Stock lid is NG from the get go no matter whos bellows you have

anyone have any dyno results from this? My car already came with a smooth bellow, so I wouldn't know if it was a noticeable difference.

well, after testing several sizes from AirFlow Systems .... The 3.5 - 3.5 hump hose is a great fit.

The 3.5 fits over the MAF without any trouble, and the 3.5 stretches enough to fit the TB without much effort. No clamps required.

For the last time folks. This is the hose you need from airflow with a lid. http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...t_Code=40R35SL
