converting a 98 to 01 engine managment system

hey wussa just a quick question, I have access to most of the things i would need to perform such a swap, ecu, cam, fuelinjectors/rail, exhaust manifold(s), intake manifold, cam, and harness. Thing I've been considering is converting my 98 ls1 over to the 01 engine managment system, (ls6 intake, no egr, bigger injectors) can it be done? has anyone done it? reason i wanna do it is because i can get all the stuff really cheap, and the 01 system offers a better foundation for bigger better mods in the future, than the 98 system does. any info would be great thanks

why not just swap the intake...

the 98 01 02's use the same injectors..

its a pain in the *** because you wont be able to get all the functions of the dash to work.. i looked into it and i believe you cantt get MPH and a few other things..

its a waste of time for the money.. plus the 01 and 02's have less timing to keep the power down..

just swap the intake

so the gauge cluster/information center is different on the 98-00 ls1's? to just swap the intake, i'll just wait a little longer and get some decent heads, with a cam and intake to match. you sure they have different injectors? because the 01+ call for a different part # at the dealer.
