Computer Reset

I have heard that when a battery is not present for a while that the computer will need to be "reset",by charging the battery and at the same time have your key in the "ACC" position. I heard that is the only way I will be able to start my car.

never heard of that...

it will erase all the "learned" data so the car may not run perfect for a few days, untill it relearns all the fuel trim data

disconnecting the bat. in an ls1 will not reset the comp. the only way you can do it is with a programmer of some sort or turning the key to acc and pulling the pcm bat fuse and the pcm ign fuse then turn key off and plug fuses back in.

It will if you leave it disconnected long enough. I once reset mine by disconnecting the battery overnight and when I reconnected it and started my car it would not idle but after running for about 5-10 min it re-learned the right settings and has not had any problems since.
