Clutch sticking when car cold

The clutch in my 2000 SS sticks to the floor just a little when the car is cold. I had a brand new clutch installed about a year ago, while the car was still under warranty. I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what it could be. Also, the clutch fluid is not low or leaking, although that was my first thought. Thanks for the help in advance.

If the pedal is sticking to the floor, that's not the clutch, it's the hydraulics. Since yours is a '00, you still have the ****ty hydraulics, would definately be worth it to get the upgraded hydraulics, and make sure if it doesn't already come done that you do the drill out mod on them.

Go here and scroll down, and under most of the clutches, it'll have the gm updated hydraulics for sale, $249.99:

As for the Drill out mod, go to www.installuniversity.com, click on Install Documents, scroll down to Transmission and click on the one that says, "McLeod Adjustable Master Cylinder and "Drill Mod" Install" and check that out.

Well, the upgraded hydraulics will make it so that your clutch pedal won't get stuck at the floor.

Thanks guys. I've got the same problem with the clutch pedal sticking to the floor on my wife's 98 SS. Plan to use your suggestion of the new hydraulics from the URL you provided. While I have it apart might as well upgrade the mechanicals. I checked with a couple dealers, they said they never heard (more like wouldn't admit) that such a problem exists. Thanks again!

Yep, the hydrolics on the 98-00 models where shotty. It was fixed in 01-02, a common cure it updating them but they have to pull the trans so it's a bit expensive.

I had a center force put in and it seems to be causing some shifting problems when the tranny is cold. Can it be adjusted more or is the computer sensitive enough that it needs to be reset.

Hate to be the bringer of bad news, but Centerforce + LS1=shot clutch. Our cars eat up Centerforce clutches like a stock clutch.

No chance yet for it to eat the center force. I had it put in about 1000 kms ago. So there has been not opportunity to even use it hard. It seems that when you shift in the higher revs the tranny does not want to go into the next gear. I have the SLP skip shifts elim. so that is not the problem. Even when it is hot the oil it stll has a problem.
