Question clutch selection

i have a 98 z28. i was wondering what would be a good clutch to buy. i have a stock rear end and tranny. i have some minor mods such as an airbox modification, egr mod, screens out of maf, k&n filter. i plan to add some mods in the future. my question is what would be a good clutch to get that isnt too sticky so i wont tear up trannys and rearends.thanks

its not quite that easy, the trannys are solid in these cars, but if you plan on power shifting-get a shifter with the boltstops so you dont bend the shifting forks, the rearend will probably take drag radials up to a 3.73 gear ratio, no more. on the clutch, spec, mccleod, not centerforce or hays or z06. but before you put the clutch in you want to drill out the reducer in the line going from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, or buy the whole setup that mccloed will be coming out with in a couple months. but this is nescesary because this reducer chokes the line from 1/8" to 1/16" and when you drop the clutch the fluid will not come back quick enough and the clutch will slip and eventually warp to the point where you cant shift at high rpms. to drill out the line you have to take the master cylinder out and disconnect the line from the slave. once out take the role pin out and the line will come out from the master cylinder, the reduce is an inch down or so, drill out w/ 1/8" drill and flush out with brake fluid, and put everthing back together.
