Angry Clutch Pedal Gets Real Hard Under High RPM Shifts??

Ok guys my car has 36k on the clock it's a 99' stock master/slave and clutch. All of a sudden when I shift at high RPM's the clutch pedal get's hard as a rock. To the point shifting get's hard and sometimes the pedal almost sticks to the floor. Is this the whole clutch setup right now or can I get away with just upgrading to the new master cylinder. Someone told me it might be the master going out because the one i have is a peice of crapp. I already bought the 02' F-Body Master Cylinder but haven't installed it yet. After this i will buy the 02' Slave and ZO6 clutch kit. What do you guys think it could be....
