Post Clunk in 98 Z28 Drivetrain

I bought a 98 Z28 with the 6-speed yesterday. I have driven it about 50 miles. The car is pretty good except for one thing - when backing out of the accelerator, without the clutch engaged above about 2,000rpms there is a pronounced clunk when the car transitions from the motor pulling the car to "engine braking".

It feels like there is some slop in the drivetrain somewhere.

Is there a common problem like this with these cars? A recall? A TSB? Anyone have any idea where I should start to look?

Thanks.

Mine clunks as well, just some slop in the rear end on mine though! Gear lash clunk from what i hear is common.
