Clogged Cat/Random Misfire

Will a clogged cat cause a random misfire code, or did what was causing the code clog the cat? It appears that the cat has broken up, and the car will barely run. Just doesn't get enough breath.

It's on a 2002 TA.

If the code is P0300 you can look it up at gearchatter.com Stock cats are now covered under warranty for 10yrs/120K on the 00-02 LS1 F cars.
