Looks nice!

Tell me a bit about it if you will.

Will that fit under a stock '98 Trans Am hood?

I bought a SLP air lid, but came across a FIPK2. The lid gave me more power down low and the FIPK up top. I also got a SS hood, so I wanted to get air from the hood and from under the car. I was thinking about getting an SLP air scoop or the SSRA to compliment the setup, thanks for looking. The cuts are super ghetto, I'm going to smooth them down and paint the radiator cover, maybe

My opinion is that we've fought hard for years to make systems that get good outside cool air into the motor, why go backwards and put an open filter under the hood to draw in scalding hot air everytime that you're not moving.

Well My car is a Z28 and the first thing I did was put a SLP Air lid on. After some time I began to like the SS hood, So I got a fiberglass SS hood. The hood is functional and with that being said I wanted to get some air in the intake from the hood. I purchased the K&N FIPK2 because the air filter is sitting right in front on the SS hood's air inlet. The FIPK "felt like" It give my car my power up top in the high rpm range, while the air lid had more power down low from take off. The air lid sat in my garage until i got bored and maybe it just my imagination but the air lid gets all its air from under the car and the FIPK gets its air from the hood, I thought why not cut the radiator support so that air can enter from the hood and under the car. I mean i didn't see how it would hurt performance when I decided to sell the air lid with the k&n.

IMO, why pull hot air at all. That cut section is only pulling hot air off the radiator.

why would a person mod their radiator support and cut some plastic so that the air lid could get more air.
