My oil pump crapped out on me so I need to replace it. What other mods should I get done. I'm assuming cam and timing chain? My car is stock and I would have liked to keep it that way. I probably would do a couple of bolt ons but now that I have to go into the engine what else should I do? valvetrain?

 

not all that much has to be removed to swap the oil pump does it?

if you want to stay stock...stay stock.

now if you had to swap lifters like me (or so i thought i did)...than a mild cam would be logical.

i would say do the LS6 oil pump and maybe a new double roller timing chain. just to keep all that in good working order.

while you have things off i suppose you could put an electric water pump on, or an underdrive pulley
