Changing oil brands on an LS1?

I just bought a 2000 TA. The guy was using quaker state. I heard that mobil 1 synthetic was the best to use. Could I switch to that oil without any problems? I heard you could start to get leaks etc. if you switch oils. It has 25k on it.

I switched to Mobil 1 synthetic from the regular oil the dealer was using @ 45K miles. I'm at 56K now and haven't noticed any problems.

I use valvoline syntec blend, and change it every 3 months, since i only put 5-6k miles a year.

Changing oil brand/weight/convential/synthetic will not hurt anything.

Synthetic oils are designed to work with all other types of automotive oils and weights.
You should have no problems.

Only problem you may see is oil consumption. Synth has smaller molecules.

Mine never used oil while running the regular 5w30 Valvoline and I decided to try synth. Now is was a 1/2 QT low at 3k miles.
