Question Car wont start.....help

As some of you may or may not know, I wrecked my car a couple of weeks ago. Air bag went off and all but now the car wont' start.

It didn't start after the accident either. It sounds like its gonna start but it wont. Kinda sounds like its not getting gas. Does anybody have any ideas? Do fbodies have a fuel cut off or something?

I know fords have a fuel cut off switch. My car is not in the shop yet so I want to know.

Thanks in advance.

They do not have an inertia switch from what I know. I dont think the PCM intereferes with the engine's operation if the bags go off, unlike some cars.

You can take off the maf, spray ether in there and it would fire if it wasnt getting fuel. First thing to do is depress the check valve on the fuel rail and make sure your pump is putting out pressure.

Assuming no pressure, start with a multimeter, and check voltage at the pump, at the relay, etc and trace it back. A bad wreck will often jar a wire, break a ground, or somehow interrupt the connection.

Assuiming pressure make sure that the injectors are recieving a pulse from the PCM using the multimeter. No pulse... check power to the pcm.

Always good to check that you are getting spark too... A screwdriver in the plug wire and a good ground (dont touch the car while doing this or it will arc into you) is an easy way to check while someone is cranking the motor over.
