Get LS1 edit and autotap, great diagnostic and programming tools. You will need a laptop too. all in all, very $$ but works like a charm. Otherwise you can get a Mass Air Flow Translator for around 175. You can change your air/fuel ratio on the curve for pretty cheap. Wait to take it to a shop to get it tuned until you get a cam as it will be redundant to do it twice. Hope this helps!

BTW...did you throw a code?

Are you sure it's slower? Have you confirmed it with time on the track? The ol' butt-o-meter isn't the most accurate measuring tool.

Freaky, did you double check to make sure all your spark plugs are hooked back up? I had a buddy that didn't hook one of them up and he was troubleshooting for days and it also didn't throw a code either, but his was a '94 if that makes any difference.

Is the exhaust hitting anywhere ? I know on the LT1 if you make any kind of hitting noise on the exhaust it will confuse it with engine knock and will retard the timing.

My car ran like a$$ immediately after I did the install... I didn't have the front O2 sensors connected as I forgot all about getting extensions. As soon as I got my extensions and plugged them in, it took only about 30 mins or so of running the car for the SES light to turn off ... and low and behold the rearend of my car no longer smelled like a diesel run semi.
