Post Can't find a straight weight answer???

My 2001 Z28...only options are MN6 w/Hurst, rear window drfroster, CD player. Basically a stripper. I am wondering what I weigh compared to, say a loaded W-S6 or SS. Thanx!

try going to a weigh station, or a junk yard that has one of those huge scales. that will give you your exact #'s.

When you say your car is a stripper do you mean you don't have leather, T-tops, electric seats, AC, and electric windows?

I'm fully loaded with every option except t-tops and I top out at 3450 pounds with no driver and a 1/4 tank of gas. Try a truck weigh station (afterhours when no one is there using it - the scales will still be left on). Don't use the # on your door jam - it assumes you have 4 200 pounds passengers and a full tank of gas (though if you subtract 930 pounds it should be close).

Your question made me wonder too so I went and weighed mine yesterday. With 1/2 tank of gas it weighed 3395. I have a trailer hitch which weighs 14 lbs and the STB and QTEC will be another couple of pounds so I am figuring 3375. I guess my "base" model is even baser cause I don't have rear window defrost. (didn't want it either)

I have an '01 Z28 with all options except sports appearance package, but I have a trac-link, LCA's and relocation brackets, APHR, DD SFC's and STB, with 3/4 tank gas and a 10# nitrous bottle and aftermarket 17 x 9 wheels, the car weighed in at 3540 without driver.

My stripper '98 Z28 weighed 3360 on the NHRA legal scales at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. This was without driver, but with 3/4 tank of gas.

All options, but it's a Formula. No jack/spare, driver, and a 1/2 tank of gas.

3420lbs.
