I was just wondering if someone could tell me whats the best lift and duration to buy when using stocks heads? I found this one on sale at a shop by my house.
Lift: .581/.581 Dur@.050: 224/224 $340
Should I go for a larger lift and duration? I really dont car too much about idle quality all I car about is horsepower (and maybe torque).

 

Most of the popular cams are around that lift figure and duration.For stock heads I dont think you need anymore lift than that.Im not sure if it would clear you pistons any way.Most guys with A4s go with a 114lsa I guess this is because it helps the auto cars idle better.I recommend getting hardened pushrods and better springs and retainers though. Hope this helps.
