Cam swap questions.

This summer Im going to swap in a new cam. ( don't know what spec cam yet) I'm going to get hardened pushrods, new springs, new retainers, possibly roller rockers. Along with the LS6 intake. Do I need to change my lifters, oil pump, and timing chain? I mean with high performance parts not oem parts. Or will I be safe not changing those items? The car is a 99 Z28 with 15,000 miles.

Thanks

With just 15,000 miles your timing chain and oil pump will be just fine as will your lifters. However, If you are going to a cam with a lot of lift, over .600, you will probably want to go to a set of lifters that are designed to handle the extra lift and rpm such as the Crane or the Comp R. Checking your timing chain for evcessive stretch is something that should be done with any cam swap even if you don't expect it to be out of tolerance.
