For my DD I was debating between TR224 on 112, or the VRX 3, possibly the G5x1, and also the custom spec 228/232 .588/.595 110 + 2. I just purchased CNC'd stage II heads, with Crane 832 springs, stock valves, 3 angle valve seat job. LS1 has stock bottom end, SLP lid, LS6 intake, Longtubes with Magnaflow catted Y and catback, stock 10bolt. I'm looking for great under the curve power that is very noticeable over stock, and a good snarl at idle.
