'98 - '00 used a cam with around ~.498" lift, while '01 - '02 used the 6.0L truck cam with about ~.479" lift. Sorry, I don't know the exact specs though.

Cool, I'm writing that down for future reference! You don't happen to have the spec's for the '98 - '00 cam, do you?

I would say determine what your goal in terms of power/performance and the vehicles main use before choosing a cam.

Otherwise in most cases it is wise to change springs with a cam swap, but it is not costly.

I chose a 221/221 @112LSA gained 26peakhp. (smaller cam)
I lopes a bit and is choppy during idle, and you can feel it shake the car about at idle. Good all around cam, would go bigger next time.

Maybe
224/224
228/228

I ordered a 216/222 .522/.529 on a 115lsa, going to run 1.8rr with it so lift should be .575 or there abouts. Hoping for an extra 25hp with no "side effects"

Will post in a couple of weeks or so.

I had an intake, headers, and true duals. I just decided to do a cam and I went straight for the G5X3.

I have never gotten more compliments on a car in my life. The lope sounds so good and when you get on it, it rips to 7k RPM in a heartbeat. Depends on what you want to do, but I actually wish the car was even faster.

i figured i'd just post in here instead of making another thread.

i'm looking for suggestions for a cam on my '02 z28. i want a mild one that i don't need to do a lot of other mods (retain stock rockers). i looked at thunderracing and they have a kit with the camshaft and new springs. but which camshaft should i choose? it's a daily driven car so i dont' want something radical. just a nice little power gain and that nice idle. somethign to compliment the car (looking to get FLP headers and SLP loudmouth soon), but not cost a lot or necessitate a lot of mods. she's a daily driver, my '79 is the track car.
