Cam Shaft Question

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about buying the 233/233 torquer cam shaft texas speed and performance has on sell right now since it seems like such a great deal. My question is this: Would I run into any problems if I installed this cam in a stock LS! ('01). Plans in the near future are Longtubes, and true duals with some other minor engine mods.

What's y'alls opinion?

Re: Cam Shaft Question

Cam won't help too much without LT headers.

Re: Cam Shaft Question

Cam and full exhaust will all be done around the same time. Cam just seems like a good deal right now but full exhaust will be done within a month of cam install.

Re: Cam Shaft Question

You're going to want a pretty good sized stall with that cam ... I would say at least 3500. And then a serious tune on top of that.

If you feel compelled to to take advantage of a "sale", buy the cam now. But don't install it until after you'e put in the stall and exhaust.
