cam question

i need some cam suggestions for an engine build.

i'm putting lt's, true duals, fast 90/90 intake tb, ls6 heads (not ported but upgraded springs etc.), 3.73 gears and want some suggestions on brand and size for a cam. I plan to computer tune and change the stall but, I don't want to have to run a stall over 2500 rpms because it'll be a daily driver.

Could you tell me what i need and what i should expect to get with this set up rwhp. If you don't know who can i contact?

400-430rwhp depending on the cam you finalize. some people like the futural brand cams (kraest pushes that hard) i have a tsp custom cam and happy with it. a decent stall with that setup should put you in the mid 11's with dr's

With stock heads I would look for something in the 224/228 LSA 114 with a lift of .580/.580. Of course cam selection depends on your type of driving and goals. Peak hp numbers don't mean much, it's much more valuable have a high average hp under the curve.

Thats too small for a STOCK LS1, much less a camed one.

Ditto, think 3500 and don't worry about daily driving one. With the new converters high efficiency and lock up features it's not a problem at all.

If I had to guess, I'd say somewhere around 1500 or so.

I'm running a 2400 stall, although it's a little bigger with a blower. I really need a 3600 and this bitch would be in the 10s easy. It wastes too much time getting into boost from a dead stop.

I'd say to get a Futral Motorsports F11 or F13. Both have been successful in making over 400 rwhp with all supporting mods. The F11 is a little smaller, so you won't need much of a stall, however, just as everyone else already said...... a STOCK LS1 really needs a 3500+ stall since it makes peak torque around 4000 rpm.

Will the stall affect you after you are already moving(hurt midrange)?
