?? on cam install...

do most of you guys do it yourself? If so, how hard is it to do?

If not, how much did install at a shop set you back?

another ?, how much can stocker springs take?

Stock cam only.. they cant handle over .500 lift

I wouldnt recommend doin it yourself. Take it to a reputable shop that way if anything goes wrong you got it under warranty. You will have to replace springs with any cam swap. Its usually around $300-$400 labor. Well worth the warranty that comes with it instead of having to buy a whole new LS1 if something breaks.

Bah! If you're good with cars and can follow directions do it yourself. I did a cam, springs, longtubes and a few otehr things this last weekend, and it works great. Use the money you save installing it yourself and put it towards a dyno tune. www.ls1howto.com

I agree to do it yourself. If you have no mechanical skill at all then find a friend who does or someone in a local camaro club i'm sure will be willing to help. You will really enjoy the learning experience and feel accomplished once its done.
