Cam input

Im lookin into a .224/.224 .564/.564 112lsa cam for my car, the heads will just have upgraded valvetrain lik new springs and pushrods. Anyone have any experiance of that cam w/ stock heads like what performance gains, or even if it sounded pretty mean? Im jus lookin for some input before i go thru w/ it.

Who makes that cam? It looks close to, but not exactly the TR224 cam.

People have seen anywhere from 340-400hp with similar sized cams on stock heads. You can run on stock tuning with it but you will run rich and will fail emissions. Its best to plan on getting tuned shortly after.

my cam is nearly identical, Comp 224-568-112...

stock heads, just running 918 springs, ti retainers, and Comp pushrods. no problems.

no clue as to actual power, havent had it dynoed yet with the cam. I need to tune the crap out of it anyway. But it definetly feels better. Dont have any before and after numbers, cause I did more than just the cam between track visits (did the stuff in winter)

sounds REALLY good. With the Borla WO, no cats and hooker LTs I had some older guys at the track tell me it sounded like a big block.
