i just wanted to get your guys opinion. i gotta 2000 A4 with just an mti lid and loudmouth. i wanna put anywhere from 350-370 rwhp if possible. can you guys just recommend the perfect cam for my ride. ive checked the search. most where for m6. a mild cam with alot of power and also and also for a tight budger. i was thinking the TR220? any suggestions...

 

There are many variables to look at, Do you want to get ls1 edit for tuning, you will have a hard time reaching that goal with an A4 with no headers and Ls6 intake. I would say your best bet for the money would be the 02/03 ls6 camshaft , would not require any tuning and will work good without headers, but tuning with any cam will always net you more power. IMO you should get a torque converter first that is the best mod for us A4 guys , get a good TC and that will give your car a whole nother feeling. I recommend a TCI superstreet fighter 3500 stall cost about 540.00 and is one of the best converters out there for the money.

 

maybe the MTI C1 cam, if you go any bigger you're gonna need tunning and an aftermarket converter.

 

lots of good ones out there. a few things u really need to take into consideration b4 picking one....what stall u are going to run, how high u want to rev,what gear are u going to run. the cam will work better if u plan all your mods to match the cam u use.
