If this is true, I won't bother only looking for the last 2 years because it's really hard to come by a 6spd here in Florida.

I can't wait, I bet it'll be a HUGE difference from my LB9 305 TPI in my IROC
My 98 doesn't have any piston slap at all, and uses no oil between changes, so it all comes down to that particular engine in a vehicle you are considering. Some came with loose pistons, most didn't.

I went from an 89 Formula 350 to the 98 and it was a big, happy difference. Still amazed at the power LS1s make stock.

Well so far no luck with the 2002 SS's, at least not one that I would want to drive, finding a M6 Z28 or SS that someone wants to get rid of is pretty damn hard! But I'm still looking...

No luck with the T/A or the Z28 I took a look at, the T/A needed new axles, and the Z28 was a flood damaged title. Found a sweet 99 Corvette, but it has a 120,000 miles on it, not sure if I want to put 13 grand into something with that many miles....thoughts?

Shucks on the T/A and Z

I'd say no on the Vette, 120k is a tad too many miles IMO, unless you're buying an LT1 car to turn into a drag car or something

Also, make sure think it through on what you're buying. 2 years ago I thought I found exactly what I wanted. 2 years later, I'm looking for an M6 -> automatic swap

Re: Buying My 1st Camaro?

If I could I would buy a 01 Z06, but I dont have 30 grand to spend, Ive got 15 at the most....Im in no hurry to latch onto the first "nice" Z28 or T/A that I run into, I've been down that road with a Bronco, and I wasnt pleased. So im just taking my time and letting my bank account get bigger and bigger.

if you take the pontiac side of the house, make sure the headlight doors work. i've owned 2 Camaros and bought my first firebird in april. 2 weeks ago i had the window motot and headlight door motor replaced under warranty(thank goodness for GM's certified pre-owned 3 month/3,000 mile warranty).
r u at Camp Lejeune now?

Yeah Im in Lejeune man, Ive been out to 29 stumps before though for CAX, not a bad place when its not freezing or hot as hell.
I had a Formula and the motor for the lights went out on the drivers side, then about a month after that the winshield motor went out, all of that came outta my own back pocket.
