Buying FLP Headers soon...

Hey guys. Listen, I am buying FLP headers this month, and want to know if there are any install docs online that explain in detail how to install. I don't know much of anything about cars, but I am VERY good at figuring stuff out. So far, I have done every mod in my sig by myself. Do you think it is worth paying someone like $400 to install the headers, or should I give it a try and do it myself. Let me know what you think, thanks.

PS: I am going to replace the spark plugs and wires, and get the stage 8 header locking bolts. Opinions? What spark plug/wire combo should I get? THanks.

Routine questions regarding specific generations should be posted in the respective forum. This is being moved to LS1 Tech. Please review the "announcement" at the top of the "Advanced Tech" thread listing.

Get a friend to help you out, it's much easier. Try looking at installuniversity.com and LS1info.com. Both have good write ups and decent instructions. You might want to have a spare oil filter and oil just in case you have to remove the filter to get the driver's side header in. Not all people have to do it, but occasionally you do and it gives you the needed extra room. Make sure you have a good jack, prefreably a 3 ton truck jack to get the car off the ground and limit clearance issues. Your best bet is a lift and power tools. It's a fun job and definitely worth the experience.
