But yea, i'm gonna pull it down and re-ring it and put new bearings in it. Hopefully when i pull it down i don't find something else wrong.

Just pull it out the bottom. It's soooooooooooooooooooo easy that way.

That's just so hard to beleive. I every engine i've pulled has been from the top. But I bought a book that shows how to do it so hopefully it is easy. Who knows, i'm also a firm beleiver in the Trap Door Method too now.

I pulled mine out the bottom last winter just to check the bottom end bearing clearance and such as the motor has over 900 passes on it.
I started with the car about 6'' in the air with ramps under the rear axle and jack stands under the front frame.
Had an angle iron cart that would support the engine and trans so I jacked it up to the motor with an ATV jack, pulled the bottom bolts and let the cart down. Hooked a engine hoist to the radiator support and tilted the body up. Just rolled the engine/trans out the wheel well.
