broke a sensor while removing intake... please help

i took my intake off my car tonite... it was a lot harder that i planned. i busted off the sensor that screws into the block. it is closest to the drivers side. there are 2 right next to each other. i got the threaded part out ithe block so everything is cool but i would like to know how much a new one is and which sensor it was. thank you in advance.

is it the one by the front exhaust port? cause that's the engine temp sensor.

you could probably drive without it for a while, may interfere with the fans coming on, but if you stay out of traffic you should be ok

is it a large cylinder? if so its the oil pressure sender. its common to break. Cost me 25 bucks at a local autoparts store.

It is not on the driver side head is it? you know that the LS1 has a "couple" sensors.

It's the oil pressure sensor. Most everyone breaks it on there first intake removal. A new one will rob you for about $50.

it is the oil pressure sensor and even with as many intakes and heads that we have removed I always keep a spare one in the tool box as those &^%^#$ things are easy to break. the sensor is like 25-30 bucks and a socket for them is like 5-6 buck at your local A-zone.
