Red face Borla delivery 5 weeks?

How long does it take to get a Borla catback?
I ordered a Borla catback from my dealer in the UK and was told that it would take 4 to 5 weeks because Borla are snowed under with orders and are building another factory.
Does anyone know if this is true?

I haven't heard anything about that? Where do you live, did you order it overseas? Just curious because there has been some scams like that on ebay, apparently you can't really do anything about it because it's overseas. Just something to look out for.

Re: Borla delivery 5 weeks?

I would think that many dealers here in the US would have the catback in stock but since you are in Europe, an Fbody exhaust system would be a special order. I would expect it to take a while, but 5 weeks sounds a little excessive.

Maybe Borla is under some type of transition right now.... you could always call the company or email them to ask questions.

Re: Borla delivery 5 weeks?

The dealer is OK, it is probably the largest one in the UK so it won't be a scam.
It has been justy over 4 weeks now and today they said it could be as long as 9 weeks, they also said that the problem would effect all new orders in the USA as well.
I did also send an email to Borla about a week ago but they seem to have ignored it so maybe its true.
I guess I will just have to wait a bit longer.

It's also possible that while the last run of the camaro was finishing orders for Borla systems dropped and they slowed down production. That was 3 years ago and now used LS1-LT1 cars are becoming affordable again the younger crowd is picking them up for modding purposes.

for a little more money, you can get the bassani tru-dual exhaust and pick up more power to boot. here's my dyno comparing the borla vs the bassani tru-dual http://www.stealthram.com/familypics...avsbassani.jpg

the place i got mine from has one in stock ready to go.
