Bolt-ons for a Z06?

I dont know what board this really belongs on, so ill just ask it at LS1 tech, since LS6 is basicly the same thing. My friend is thinking of picking up a 2002 Z06 soon, and he wants to know what kind of bolt ons he can get for $500 or less. i really didnt know, i figure its intake and exhaust are fine, since it IS a vette and all. anyway, thanks in advance.

You should head on over to www.corvetteforum.com ... they have specific LS6/Z06 sections that might get you some good info.

I don't mean to turn you to another forum.

BUT, www.corvetteforum.com has a ZO6 section. The website is the equivalent to CAMAROZ28.COM just for corvettes. I think your friend will get all the answers he needs over there.

However I'm sure their will be some good advice come from this board soon. The people on this board really know their stuff

Cool

I'm sure there are mods for the Z06, too, but I doubt not too many of them will be 500, or under, though...

That thing has 400+hp to begin with , why would you need to mod it anyway...?

Then again, if you have the $$$ to buy the Z06, I'm sure you'll have $$$ to burn on mods, too, so what the hell.

The only mod that I know of (which I don't know much about mods for the Z06 because I can't afford one) is a ram air type induction. The only reason I know of it is because I helped install in on a friends Z06. Actually, I don't think it is just for the Z06, but all C5s.

Good Luck.

my friend-
average driver granny shifting just trapped 119 with a vortex CAI and borla catback on his z06, and that was only 385hp stock
he dynoed 349rwhp STOCK

ohh he, had a ripper shifter or something at the track too...

stock tires

After drivng it, i suggest drag radials

the CAI was like $180 (thats like FREE in camaro terms ) but it sucked installing it. I was expecting a 5 min job-
look 3 hrs. had to measure and cut fan shroud, hood was in the way and to say his utility knife was DULL is like saying the grand canyon is a crack in the ground

Ohhhhhh my friend welcome to the world of 1200$ exhaust, 1500$ headers, and 450$ intakes. The Ls6 is extremely expensive to mod. But go for it. I saw a 2002 Electron blue with the dyno sheet at 550hp. Beat me in my uncle's 2001 Dodge Viper Rt/10 with juice. I gave him mad props.
