BF Goodrich G-Force??
I'm going to get a new set of tires this week, and was wondering if any of you have had experience with the BF Goodrich G-Force line, or know anyone who has? I've read good reviews on this tire, but would like a few of your opinions. Thanks
I have a set of BFG g-Force KDWS tires and they're great.
They grip the road really good in corners, they're great in the rain, they have a pretty aggressive and meaty tread, they look good, and I paid $603 out the door for them back in mid-March. Two days ago, I accidently ran over this piece of wood in the road, from the sound it made when I ran over it, I thought my tire was punctured, nothing happened.
My friend's dad had the same tires put on his wife's Z28 with 20,000 miles on them and they're not showing signs of wear yet.
I will definitely buy another set of these tires again.

I got the KDs (key dry). They are great road-racing tires. They offer excellent traction on dry roads ( I've taken 45mph curves at 85 ). They perform so-so at the drag strip. I went to a poorly prepped track and could only manage an 2.306 60'. A guy I raced against with ET streets got a 2.105, so take that for what it's worth. The only problem with these tires is that they offer very, very, very little wet traction. If you get these tires you're best of staying home when it rains. When it rains over here and I have to go out I drive about 50mph on the hwy and give it very little gas when turning from a stop.
When these are done (treadwear is pretty good), I think I'll be going with KDWs

Re: BFG G-Force KD
Yep, I put them on my '95 Z and they are very good (KDW's). I did quite a bit of resurch and they seemed the best bang for the buck for everyday road use IMO. You will like them. I think mine were a little under $600 out the door and Discount Auto, but that was over 6 months ago. Later>>>>>>
I run BFG G-Force KDWS. GREAT tires. They perform very well on the street and really well in wet weather. They did ok in heavy snow the only time I ever drove my car in snow. Money well spent.
i got 285/40-17's g-force KDW's the directional patteren, came off a frineds car with only 1000mi on them and never burned, his loss my gain
i had some no name 245/50-16's, but on ramps were fun before, now just a fing blast, the harder u push the more they stick, as for the track, i cut 2.2's but that was also my first time ever with the car and there was track prep down

I've had the KDW's (245/50-16) on my car now for about 5K miles.
Kinda noisy on concrete, but other than that, I'm very pleased with them.
Paid 450 bucks for them. With chrome 10-spoke wheels, that is!
Tires had about 1K on them when I bought them.
