Cool BEST mod going

The Stealth airbox assembly is a great mod!!! Below are 3 different dyno sessions and the mods for each session.

Dyno #1 8/3/02
LS1 Motorsport lid
FTRA
4 inch Mufflex catback
paper air filter
RWHP 289 RWTQ 297

Dyno#2 10/5/02
All of the above plus:
HPP3 power tuning
Holley powershot air filter
RWHP 292 RWTQ 306

Dyno#3 11/23/02
All of the above mods with the exception of the catback removed.
Stealth airbox assembly installed
RWHP 305 RWTQ 321

It would appear that the Stealth air box is by far the best bang for the buck mod I've done so far.

I got mine from H.P.A. not sure as to who actually makes it. It comes with a new upper radiator support and K&N corvette air filter. It also made my WS6 hood functional.

How do you know that it wasn't the removal of the catback that caused the increase in HP? You did 2 things at once and attribute the HP to 1 of them. That's not proof

Sorry about the misunderstanding. The catback setup was the only mod on the car when the Stealth assembly was put on. The 305 RWHP was achieved with the catback and Stealth assembly as the only mods.
As far as the Stealth setup is concerned, it is a very tight fit. The kit gives you new rubber couplings from the lid to the MAS and from the MAS to the throttlebody. It's a good idea to have some very hot water at hand to heat them up or it's a real hassel to get them on. I had to notch the coupling from the MAS to the throttlebody on the bottom to match the raised area on the bottom of the throttlebody. Overall I am very happy with mine.
The setup is basically a FRA but you almost double the area that the filter is able to draw air from. The corvette filter is alot bigger than a stock Fbody filter.
Hope this helps.

Does it look similar to a '96-'97 WS6 air box? If it does its probaly made by suncoast creations. you can buy the hood and air box as a package. I'm considering either that for my '00 T/A or the american sports car designs WS6 hood which use's a standard type airbox.

The Stealth setup is new on the market. At first glance it looks like a stock non ram air assembly. The entire surface of the corvette filter is open to draw air. I run a WS6 hood and it appears that the air taken in by the hood flows directly into the filter area.

You should have done one w/ the Stealth and the FTRA, w/ and w/o the catback. that right there would have helped a lot... but pretty cool pulls, congrats.
