what is the better lid slp or ls1 ?

or does it matter ?

It doesn't matter! All lids are basically the same. Good luck and enjoy whichever you get for cheapest!

cool thanks i am going to get the slp lid then i can get that from
a local store around here the ls1 i would have to order.

I'm shopping for a lid as well, and agree that a lid is a lid, however I have several sources in my consumer research that says the Slp lid seals better than any other lid tested. Also, these things are all over the net way cheaper than you're going to find in a store.

mine fits good, there is a gap at the front on each corner about a 1/16" its not completely pressed together is everyone elses?

all lids are the same. i have the mti lid. but the slp lids quality is awesome. but i am pretty happy with my mti....

$99 out the door isn't a bad price but if your willing to look you can get them used anywhere from $50-$80 on ebay or forums like this one. I just bought mine on ebay for $75 and it came with the smooth bellow. The part looks new and works great. Just a suggestion, that extra $25 will get almost a full tank of gas to test the lid out.:D

i been looking on ebay and the forum and i cant find one for a 2001 TA

Some show did a flow test on all the popular lids. MTI did the best. I too own an MTI lid... (Yes on an LT1 )

keep looking. Do a search through entire ebay (not just automotive parts) type LS1 lid and you'll get some. There is a guy trying to sell an SLP lid right now with two K&N filters for $80 from this forum. platniumta is his screen name.
