Battery or Altenator?

while checking my audio/speakers I shut the car off after a few starts, no problems then and actually at all starting till now...BUT after running the radio for maybe 15 minutes I tried to fire her back up and no go...

all I get is this horrible clicking sounds, no volt gage reading HOWEVER, the FOB works fine(meaning I can lock/unlock, all functions}. which is what worries me, is this the altenator? IF SO, let me guess, it is like stuck down in a corner of the engine whereas you have to take motor mounts off to get at etc.....bottom line like 300 bucks labor?

any ideas while I wait for AAA to jump start her and or tell me my fear that it is the altenator. THANKS in ADVANCE

Wow, Relax cd. Once it is jump started you should see the volt meter at 13.5- 14.0 volts if the alternator is working. Probably just a battery, most don't last more that 3-4 years. Later>>>>>>

Just go to Wal-Mart and get a battery with the same Cranking Amps or more than the Delco Battery. I just have a Wal-mart 525 CRA battery in my '95 Z for 2 years now with no problems. Wal-mart will test your old battery for free I think, if out of the car. They will just have to charge it up first. Or just drive it down their with tools to take it out and swap it yourself in the parking lot. Later>>>>>>>>
