What dealership do you use? Davis? You should try Faulkner in Trevose. Fast excellent service.

I understand your reasons for taking the car back to Fred Beans but if your not satisfied with how quickly they get the car back to you, then go somewhere else. My mother in law had a planetary gear break in her transmission, she called Faulkner, dropped it off that same evening, and had it back at the end of the next day. The mechanic told her she was lucky that she even managed to get it to the dealership without needing a tow.

see the thing is with switchin dealerships is my dad knows some guys at the fred beans and we have been buying our cars there for like ever. Don't get me wrong our **** gets done REAL FAST. i mean My last rear swap took 1 full day. Dropped it off at 7 picked it up at 7:30. Problem was finally solved. It just sometimes takes them a few times to get it right.

If you heard crunching sounds and it jammed up...

I'd bet on it.

BTW - (duh) If your dad's a mechanic...

Here's a thought... ask him. He's seen it first hand. We're just guessing. Will a shop ever diagnose a mechanical failure over the phone? NEVER. They ALWAYS say,"bring it down..."

::sigh:: i am not that dumb. i did ask him and he said just take ur **** out of it, we are gettin it towed to the dealer. I think he is fraustrated to talk about it lol. So instead of pissin him off, the guy who has my graduation present (headers and exhaust) in his posession i take the next best option.

Well chances are that either a gear broke or a needle bearing could be lodged in there as well.. You just won't know untill the tranny is torn apart..

Also on the whole rear end deal, I would try to find a 12 bolt and be done with it.. If my car's rear end ever blows on me, especially after my extended warranty is up, then I will buy a 12 bolt and be done with it...

Exactly what I was thinking. The roters don't just warp for the hell of it. You gotta get going fast and stop hard in order for that to happen.
