Question Average Life for Z-Rated Tires

What's the average life (in miles) for a Z-Rated tire driven on the street?

When I bought my BFGs, one of my friends said I would never get 15,000 out of them. I now have 15,000 on them and they're not even close to the wear bar, with rotations every 3K.

What's the most mileage you've got from your z-rated tires?

The worst I ever got was on Viper (I think) tires. My Mom got them at Sears thinking that they'd be a pretty good tire...well, I got about 8k miles out of them. I wasn't easy on them but I wasn't exactly abusing them either.

I have roughly 27k miles on my factory RS-As right now and they look like they've got at least another 5k left. I've only rotated them once so far too...not a good thing, I know but they're doing pretty good.

Depends a lot on the tires, there are is a variety of different tread wear ratings for Z rated tires. I only got 8k on the Falkens I had.

I have had 2 sets of Goodyear HP ultra-plus. The set I'm on now has 32K miles and they still look good; I just make sure I rotate them every 6K.

Cool

I have now close to 20K on my BFG KDW's and I am pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect them to last this long and there's still plenty of meat left for another 10-15K.

I got well over 30K from a set of GY GS-C's which I had on my LT1 a couple of years ago.
