Question ASR Button Light

Hey, sorry if this is a stupid question - couldnt find anything bout it in my manual

The ASR button has a lil light in it, and its out - asr works fine and all, but its annoying to have a light out on yer dash

how do you change the light? is it a simple bulb in the button or what?

thanks -

The light is suppossed to be out when the ASR is on as I understand it. The car starts with it on as a default. When you use the switch to disable it the light comes on as a reminder that the ASR is off. If it is also off when you disable the ASR, then you have a problem. Hope this is a help.

If the parts guys are good at your local dealership, they can look it up and tell you if the bulb is separate or not. If it is, ask the parts guy to swing the computer screen around so you can see it. That way you will have an idea of what it might take to replace it. If it is not replaceable, the whole switch runs about $30 at the dealer. ( You can hide some cool things behind a factory looking switch.)

You can also find these switches on ebay from time to time pretty cheap.
