Use a FAST 92mm for a stroker or aggressive heads and cam 346. Anything else use the LS6. FORGET about any other intake as they either don't work or don't exist The FAST intake is the ONLY intake to prove itself a better piece than the LS6.

Carb style manifolds have been proven too.

Beck, Wilson, Edelbrocks Victor series or any other custom sheetmetal intakes don't belong on any 346, no matter how radical.

Out of the box FAST 92 will make power past 7000rpm on a 346.

so the new edelbrock intake is crap? or the "i swear it's coming out next month" street warrior intake is junk? I guess the gmpp intake is crappy as well.

It was a hard debate on whether or not I wanted to put a typhoon intake on my car over an ls6. I've READ ON THE INTERNET that they have some quality control issues, but I've seen almost 10 people run the typhoon intake w/ no issues.

I almost ran one myself, over an ls6 intake. Having an intake made out of plastic does have its downsides

FAST or LS6 depending on your power level. That's all

Nobody has run the new Edelbrock intake, as it isn't for sale yet. And from what I've seen, it won't even fit an F-body, so forget about it. Second the Street Warrior is a myth, like Bigfoot or the Lochness monster. It's been promised and pushed back time and time again. Forget about it. Finally, I believe the GMPP intake is a single plane carb style intake based off the Edelbrock casting, like all GMPP intakes. Again, not something you need for any 346.

Ahhh, the Typhoon. Provide proof that it outperforms the LS6 on any engine... I don't care about "not having issues". They don't make power beyond what the LS6 is capable of. The LS6 fits better and costs less.

Edit: Kraest posted!

What happens when you have a nitrous backfire with an ls6 intake?

How about an real dyno graph, not one from the manufacturer... Manufacturer claims are NOT proof. I've seen them back to back to back tested with the LS6, Typhoon, and then the FAST on our local dyno. The Typhoon was heavy, required 2 attempts to fit right, and made less power than the LS6 and FAST. GMHTP couldn't get one to fit either!

What happens with a nitrous backfire on an LS6? You burn the MAF and obliterate the lid. The intake will be fine.

Really? So I guess the people on ls1tech that blew up holes on the back of their ls6 intakes because of nitrous backfires were just flukes? and I guess the fact that fast offers burst plates for their plastic intakes is just a kawinkydink?

What's up with the fake *** graph? As far as aftermarket intakes goes, FAST is the way to go.

I agree on the fast being the way to go. And wake up aluminum intakes are a thing of the past!!! Plastic is the way to go. Whats the disadvantage? they are lighter, less heat sink, no quality issues. OK so if the is a major backfire from nitrous then it can blow out, Well then guess what get a window switch, or a progressive controller, there are more ways to use nitrous then just on the limiter!
