Anyone else have center-mount SLP dual exhaust that is broken in half?
Re: Anyone else have center-mount SLP dual exhaust that is broken in half?
I use to have the SLP center mount exhaust on my car and it broke once then i got it welded, after a few months the dam thing broke and its annoying because it rattles alot and makes noise. So I just removed it and I welded it and I sold it, I got sick and tired of that SLP center exhaust breaking in the middle.

If this doesn't work out, which it should, i say you shave off what's left of that brace and tig weld a new one in there.

By the way, there is nothing like the rattle of aluminum wire when you start your car, I recommend everyone put some on there

I just got off the phone with SLP and they said they would replace the tips free of charge and ship me out a new set. All I have to do is pay labor to put them on. What a great company! They said that the reason I was having trouble going through the dealership is because the company SLP Engineering that originally did the Camaro SSes no longer exists. Their sister company SLP Performance Parts now takes care of all of their business. So while the dealership was calling the Michigan company that doesn't exist anymore, they should have been calling the New Jersey company instead.
Long story short, it looks like I am getting a new set of tips with an additional bracket welded between them free of charge. I just hope I get to keep the old set as a spare in case it ever happens again. I could always try my hand at welding them and using them as a really attractive paper weight.
