does the mac ory pipe fit into the factory I-pipe like the stock y-pipe?

I plan on using it because I have a cutout.

 

I believe they are made to fit with aftermarket catbacks, which are made to fit into the stock I pipe, so i'd say yes.

 

mine didnt, but also had the mac headers.

 

My catted Mac Y pipe slipped in like the stock one but the fitment was a little loose so I bolted it in and drove it to an exhaust shop and had them weld the Y pipe to the I pipe.

myslowcamaro is saying his ORY didn't slip into the stock I pipe. Which confuses me why the catted one slips into the I pipe and the ORY wouldn't.

myslowcamaro and I are both refering to the Y pipes that go to their mid length headers. I don't think they make Y pipes for the stock manifolds, someone correct me if I am wrong.

 

I think they do make one for stock manifolds, but mine is for mac mids. The reason I ask if you have slp, is that most ss came with it and that has a 3" pipe.

 

Isn't the I pipe 3" on our cars too?
