anyone drop in a ls1 in a lt1 car?
LS1s in my area go for 20k and up. and i dont like the camaro body and prefer the formula model and those are extremley rare here. to me this would be a easy way to go the painless wiring would be an idea. thanks for the input.

Well I am pretty lucky so far.
I had a 94 Z I had painted Electron Blue. It got hit and I got $3000 from the insurance company for it. I sold it as is with 187K miles (with the Hotcam and LT's being basically the only mods) for $6000 and had sold $2000 worth of parts off it so in essence got a total of $11,000 for it ($3000+$6000+$2000)
I bought a 98Z (with air lid, MAC mid-length headers) from a dealer for $8000 cash ($9000 out the door) and then put my sub in it, and in-dash 7" LCD screen , Dry shot of N2O and painted Torque Thrust II's on it. After I sold stock parts of of it I had about $1000 in it. I sold it for $11,500
I then was looking for a Trans-Am. I found 5 under $9000 all with 90K on them. Two in Texas, one in Michigan, one was sold, and the other was 100 miles away in clearwater. It has a rough idle when I checked it out so I talked him from $8495 down to $7600 ($8500 out the door). I fixed the idle before I drove it off the lot. I had already figured out it was a vacuum leak off the PCV hose. A little tape and she ran like a bat out of he!!
I blue booked the car and it was $10,600. Market value around here is $11,500 to $13,000.
I am now selling it for $11,500 (I need the money for my wedding and because I now HAVE to get a dealer's license
!)
The car is MINT condition so I DON'T want to sell it but have no choice.
Anyways, do an Auto Trader search and you will find LS1 Formulas for around $7500. $500 in plane ticket and gas and it's yours for $8000 assuming you don't talk the seller down on the price.
Good luck either way you go!

They are out there , they just aint allover . That is a search of the entire united states , so your bound t come up with something . I know they are out there though , I paid 8900 for mine and its pewter and loaded . 6 speed . car is gorgeous and books for 14k
You wont find a formula around here with an LS1 for 7k . LT1's are selling for that here . all day long . Maybe a stripper LS1 , 98 , for 8k . I bought mine 1000 miles away from home . I used ther web to find it . And I fly for free so getting it was not a problem.
