ANy recommendations on CAGS bypass?

I NEED TO GET RID OF THIS! Skip-shift is driving me nuts, so I want to get one of the eliminators, but I know that some of those are cheapo resistors, I dont want to risk anything, throwing a code, etc. So any recommendations on brands to get?
I know SLP has them, but I dont want to spend thirty bucks!

My recommendation would be the Slp skip shift eliminator I've had mine ever since the 2nd week the car was bought and it has never given me any problems or caused the car to throw any codes....

I think that Year One has the best price. I got mine a little over a year ago for $25. It is a good quality part and I have had no problems with it. My only complaint was that it did not come with any instructions. It was still money well spent.

They have the skip shift eliminator for $18.99. Cheapest I have seen. I bought mine from them last week.

Just do the 2.2 k-ohm 1/2w resistor. $1 for resistors (only came in a 5 pack) and some tape and you no longer have skip shift. I've driven mine in the rain done like this w/out any problems.

I just did the radio-shack resistor & electrical tape mod myself and it works great!

Just make sure you do it to the right plug! I first did it to the reverse-lockout solenoid instead and it made it almost impossible to get it into Reverse. That was easilly fixed though.

Is there a website or does someone have any instructions as for setting it up correctly with the Radio Shack parts?

www.installuniversity.com

I did this mod almost 2 years ago and it's flawless. Has endured all of the elements and installed in about 15 minutes. Make sure you electrical tape everything pretty good.

There's no way in HELL I would buy this from SLP or any other aftermarket. You'll appreciate it a lot more this way!

The resistor mod is the way to go. I've had mine done since summer `98 and driven the car through all kinds of weather including Snow and I've never seen a code
